In this position, you will be tasked with renting a host of products related to tented events. You will work with event planners, caterers, designers and other Special Event Industry professionals, as well as end user clients. The role is a hybrid between sales and project management, since this position encompasses all skills and duties for both types of positions. Therefore, you would be responsible for an annual revenue target and will also be part of the operations process from the beginning to end. Some weekends will be required.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

Customer Service:

  • Respond to all tent related inquiries, via telephone, or in person, as necessary.
  • Fully understand the client’s needs and objectives and provide creative solutions to meet those needs and objectives.
  • Provide sufficient information to allow for an efficient, profitable, transaction that meets the clients needs and objectives, as well as the Companies standards for quality and integrity.
  • Provide solutions that correspond to available inventory for the dates required.
  • Coordinate all service concerns; sales, operations (quality control), inventory control, installation, removal, etc.
  • Accurate data entry of all new orders and revisions as required.
  • Thoroughly review all orders and revisions for content, accuracy and completeness.

Project management:

  • Oversee the entire project; from initial contact; throughout the event; up to and including final payment and follow up conversation.
  • Fully understand the client’s needs and objectives.
  • Provide creative solutions to meet the customer’s needs and objectives.
  • Provide solutions to the client’s needs that correspond to available inventory for the dates required.
  • Provide sufficient information to allow for an efficient, profitable, structurally sound installation that meets the clients needs and objectives, as well as the Companies standards for quality and structural integrity.
  • Perform cost analysis in order to ensure that minimum accepted levels of profit are achieved.
  • Coordinate all service concerns; sales, operations, quality control, inventory control, and arrange for sub-rental equipment as required.

Account Management:

  • Respond to all inquiries and referrals from a particular source.
  • Monitor the account, and their respective clients, satisfaction.
  • Maintain contact and communication with account throughout the year.
  • Convey an understanding of all of the Company policies to the client.
  • Establish a rapport with each individual client or account.
  • Convey an understanding of all of the Company policies to the client.
  • Ensure that the pre-established terms for each client are met and their credit limits are not exceeded.

Communication:

  • Fully understand the client’s needs, expectations and objectives.
  • Listen carefully to the client’s questions (and responses) to ascertain what they are truly saying as opposed to what they thought they said (listen between the lines!).
  • Establish a rapport with each client.
  • Keep the customer’s expectations realistic. (Then exceed them!).
  • Coordination between the client and operations in order to ensure the clients satisfaction as well as a profitable and trouble free event. (Conveying promises made, etc.).
  • Anticipate the client’s needs based on weather, number of guests, etc.

  • All other duties as required
